On the fourth stop of his 2011 fall America tour, Japanese pianist Nobuyuki Tsujii visited Bakersfield, California. He brought the house down with his performance of Rachmaninov's Piano Concerto No. 2 with the Bakersfield Symphony Orchestra, under the baton of Conductor John Farrer. Two encores were played: his own composition "A Morning in Cortona", and Rigoletto paraphrase by Franz Liszt.
